It's 2004. After years of flying below the radar, Toronto has surged to become a world-class scene for independent music. Musicians who once lived in obscurity are now finding themselves in the pages of SPIN and Rolling Stone, while a tight knit group of record labels and promoters work tirelessly to put out their records, bringing the city’s brand of arty-idealism to the masses. Yet, underneath all the press and newfound optimism, a diverse community of working class musicians, most barely able to make ends meet, provides the foundation for the entire scene, grinding their way through the city's bars and clubs.

Darklands is the rags to rags story of two brothers, and their bands struggle to find a place in this world. Currently in pre-production.
